Mission-driven work begins with the wellbeing of the people doing it.
My coaching supports staff, supervisors and leaders of organizations devoted to social justice, human rights and human flourishing.
The most impactful work often involves standing in close proximity to human suffering and systemic injustice on a daily basis.
But what happens when, in pursuit of greater impact, staff morale and wellbeing begin to suffer?
Staff start to burnout, depleted by the work. Burnout leads to high turnover, which drives a loss of institutional knowledge and an added burden on supervisors to continuously train new staff. At the same time, supervisors themselves may not have access to adequate training or support around effective management and supervision. The cycle of depletion and turnover continues. The quality of the work may start to suffer.

My coaching can help.
As a former non-profit lawyer with over a decade of experience in social justice and nonprofit work, I know what it’s like to undertake emotionally trying work in a resource-constrained environment. Which is why, as a coach, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting mission-driven professionals so that they can do meaningful work in a sustainable way.
Based on the specific needs of your organization, I provide a customized combination of 1:1 coaching with individual staff members and group workshops to enhance the health of the team as a whole.
